Early diagnosis of dental problems and prevention is the best way for you to have a healthy mouth.  Although it is difficult to adopt a healthy routine, here is a guideline to get you started:

ü      Brush at least twice daily. In the morning when you wake and at night before you go to bed.  (Rule of thumb brush after meals and snacks.)

ü      Floss daily.   Gum disease starts between the teeth and normal brushing will not remove all the food and plaque that accumulate between our teeth and under the gums.

ü      Eat healthy nutritious meals low in sugars and carbohydrates.   Avoid excess snacking.

ü      Visit your dentist at least twice a year for a dental exam, a professional cleaning and any needed x-rays.
