Before After
If you are unhappy with the color of your teeth, your dentist can give you a whiter smile by bleaching your teeth. This process lightens the enamel and dentin of your teeth and helps to remove stains that have accumulated from coffees, tea, smoking and eating colored foods. There are two types of teeth bleaching At home and In office.
At Home Bleaching:

Home teeth bleaching requires your dentist to take an impression of your teeth that is used to make a custom bleaching tray for your mouth that you will take home with bleaching gel for you to use at home and instructions on how to use them.

Following the instructions provided by your dentist at home you will wear the bleaching trays between one hour to overnight depending on what treatment will benefit you the most. The Process is continued for 7 to 14 days, after which you will maintain a touchup program. Your touch program will require you to repeat the bleaching process for 1 hour every 4-6 months depending on your coffee, tea, smoking and other factors.
In office Bleaching
In office bleaching is done either by using a ultra violet light or laser. Several steps are involved:
The Process begins with a barrier being placed between your teeth and gums.
(Barrier being placed)
Once barrier is in place, the bleaching agent is painted on the teeth.
(Gel being placed on teeth)
Next, a laser or ultraviolet light is used to activate the bleaching gel. The bleaching process takes approximately 30 minutes.

In office bleaching is much more expensive than home bleaching. The actual prices will vary depending on your area and the dentist.
